Verna Payment Card
 In 1998, Makpetrol AD, Skopje for the first time in Republic of Macedonia launched the chip card – Verna.
This type of card has so far been successfully used in our country. The use of Verna Card is widely spread in Macedonia with more than 50.000 users which is a proof for its high quality and for its efficient service.
Verna is payment card for payment in denars (MKD) and it is valid only for the territory of Republic of Macedonia. This card is intended for payment of purchase of the whole range of products that Makpetrol offers (except Honda products).
The pointing system of the Verna card is special advantage in using this card.
Advantages arisen from the use of the Verna payment card:
Cashless payment method;
Accurate information on who purchased fuel, where and when;
The Card may be used only be persons authorized to do so;
The fact that each person has its own identification card and PIN code, which is secret electronic signature, eliminates the possibility for someone to use the card when this card is lost or stolen;
Possibility to be informed by getting information on your e-mail regarding the consumption from the records for each vehicle individually (if the user reports the actual mileage state during the issuing fuel process);
The advantage that we deliver the data from the specification of individual purchases for each invoice which would enable you to have clear and accurate overview;
If you are entitled to VAT deduction, on the basis of invoice, referring to group of vehicles entitled to VAT deduction, VAT may be deducted, but the deduction will not be made on the basis of individual bills issued from the point of sale.
Procedure for use of Verna Cart for vehicles
Each vehicle has its own Verna card that shall not be used for another vehicle. When you approach the petrol station before you issue fuel, you must clearly indicate that you will use the Verna card.
After fuelling is completed, the card shall be placed in appropriate reader, the Seller prepares the bill. The Seller is obliged, upon your request, to enter the actual state of the mileage.
You personally shall enter your PIN code.
The bill must be duly signed by both parties (the seller and the buyer).
You take the card and one copy of the bill for your use.
Contract for Verna cards for vehicles
The Contract is concluded with your company who assumes the obligation for paying the invoices. A separate card is issued for each vehicle you ask for. At your request the vehicles may be divided into 2 groups as follows: vehicles entitled to VAT deduction (cargo vehicles etc.) and vehicles not entitled to VAT deduction (passenger vehicles). A separate invoice is issued for each group.
Individual PIN codes are issued for each user authorized by you to use the vehicles. Each registered user may use any vehicle, whereas the license plate of the vehicle and the person making the purchase with that vehicle’s card are being registered. It is customary that the number of users is bigger than the number of vehicles.
The period of the invoice and the payment currency shall be effected in compliance with the concluded and signed contract. The invoice shall be duly prepared at the end of the month. Enclosed to the invoice we submit a specification for every individual use of the cards. The specification contains the following information: number of the used card, point of sale where the purchase was made, for each vehicle the card is intended, type of vehicle, number of the bill, date of the bill, code and name of the goods, quantity, unit price and total amount. The expenses are grouped by users and the specification quotes his identification number in the company where he is employed and his name and last name.
The Contract stipulates whether the card shall be intended for purchase of all products from the entire range of products that Makpetrol offers or whether it shall be limited solely to purchase of fuel.
The limit shall be determined by your company or may be determined for each vehicle individually. The conditions for renewal of the contract are stipulated in the Contract.
If the mileage is regularly registered in the bill during each fuel refill, we may give you review of the average fuel consumption per vehicles.
Contract shall be concluded for Verna card which may be subject to modification depending on the needs and requirements of the business partner.
Contracts shall be concluded for advanced payment and for deferred payment with the commercial service of Makpetrol AD Skopje, and in the event when contracts for advanced payment are concluded, they are realized in the Department for Verna card.
In order to conclude a contract you need to submit:
- List of vehicles you wish cards to be issued for. The list must contain the following data:
- Type of vehicle (followed by description whether it is commercial or passenger)
- License plate of the vehicle
- If the limit is stipulated individually for each vehicle, it shall be stated in MKD for each vehicle separately
- Is the vehicle entitled to VAT return or not.
- List of persons, with their name and last name, who are entitled to use the card and their identification number within your company. If you do not use identification numbers, we suggest that the first 5 digits from the Unique Master Citizen Number are used.
